If the Samsung washing machine shows an error 4E, E1, 4C, or CHE (depending on the model), washing does not start after pressing the start button. Instead, a characteristic noise is heard, indicating an attempt by the device to draw water. But she does not enter the tank. As a result, the program stops, and the error code is lit.
Error 4E, E1, 4C, CHE means that the washing machine did not draw water in the allotted maximum time. In most cases, this is not a breakdown. However, before the arrival of the master, it is worth trying to solve the problem yourself.
The reason may be banal - they turned off the water at home, or its pressure is too weak. Just wait until the situation stabilizes. First, it is necessary to check whether the shut-off valve is completely closed. If so, unscrew it. Water may not flow into the washer due to a clogged mesh filter. It is necessary to rinse it well, put it in place and start washing again.
It happens that the unit draws water and then immediately drains it, and so on, in a circle. That means that the machine is not properly connected to the sewer. Do everything according to the instructions and start the device again. If you have an aqua stop model, the inlet hose is probably damaged and needs to be replaced.
Error 4E, E1, 4C, and CHE also occur due to a temporary software failure of the control module. This issue is resolved by rebooting. However, the machine is disconnected from the network and stays like this for up to 15 minutes. Then it turns on again.
If, after restarting, error 4E, E1, 4C, CHE does not disappear, this indicates such malfunctions:
Breaking | Causes | How to eliminate |
Water is not poured or enters the washer very slowly. | Electronic intake valve broken. | Installation of a new valve responsible for the supply of water. |
The error lights up before starting the program or switching to rinsing. | Failure or software failure of the control module. | Soldering board tracks. Much less often a complete replacement is needed. |
After turning on the cycle, the water does not start. | The pressure switch or water level sensor has broken. | Cleaning or installing a new pressure switch tube. |
The error appears a couple of minutes after switching on. | Damaged wiring / contacts. | Restoration or installation of a completely new cable. |
