E40 error in Electrolux washing machine

When the E40 error appears on the display of the Electrolux electronic washing machine, this is accompanied by the failure of the unit to start the program. Usually, such code knocks out immediately after pressing the start button, when all operating parameters have already been set. In response, nothing happens, it knocks out a breakdown code.

Error E40 means that there are difficulties with blocking the hatch. The device recognizes that the door is not closed, therefore it gives an error.

Can I reset myself?

Before the arrival of the mechanic, you can try to solve the problem on your own. It is likely that the door is indeed not closed tightly enough. You just need to open it and slam it shut again harder.

Also, the error may be the result of a temporary software failure. It is fixed by rebooting the device. The washing machine is disconnected from the mains, it stays like this for 10-15 minutes, and then it starts up again.
